This is Sonya Tayeh. She is from Detroit. She moved to San Francisco, sat in a studio for three years and thought about how she wanted to move, and then she headed for Los Angeles. Look at her now. You go girl. I think that’s what we all do, to various degrees, if we are truly to find a creative voice for ourselves… Certainly it took me and Dave and the band a couple years to really find our “sound” – and now we sound like us :)

Of course, I don’t know that we all succeed to the extent Sonya does. That’s a pretty unique voice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, we got to attend the live taping, it was beautiful amazing, and even the wrap party on Melrose, the open bar was dangerously generous, the food delectable, the company divine. I met Ellenore & Jakob, and they asked me where I wrote the song from, and that was such an honor. Then I got them to do the head-to-head strutting thing with me, can you imagine? Li’l Oona dancing with the pros. Ellenore is ridiculously beautiful, Jakob is charming as all get out, look out world.

Lo and behold, guess who else showed up to the party – Twitch from Season 4. He’s a medium sized movie star now, yer welcome, lol. I talked with some friends of his, including Nathan from this season, and everyone was beautiful and delightful and kind.

- Adam Lambert does not like pictures taken of him, but not in a mean way. We tricked him and got one anyway, Oakland strikes again. Now I feel bad.
