It’s been a whirlwind of a week – true, I’ve been having a lot of those lately – and I’m sure you had one too. Especially you SXSW-ers. You are currently blowing up the ‘webs so much with great enthusiasm and it’s put some vigor into the various social networks….
Speaking of which, I am in LA right now – if anyone has a spare ticket to Janelle Monae tonight or tomorrow at The Viper Room I know someone who can help you out with it, her is me. JM was uber-buzzed following last year’s SXSW fest. Therein lies the connection. Now it’s all sold out.
FRIDAY’S SHOW WAS A BLAST. Thank you so so so so so so much for being part of it. I strutted and sauntered across that whole great stage, thanks to the lighting guy Mark for putting on a great light show. To Joe Bagale and Thrill of it All for putting on great shows. To Stephen Bradley for his inspired trumpet solo on Tore My Heart. To Harp the man mixing our monitors. To The Independent. Our set was over in what felt like the blink of an eye – I loved dancing with you. The melee movement on “Take You Higher” with Joe Bagale’s band, SB, Mike Olmos, Andrew and Dave, Uriah Duffy… I got to sing with Karyn Paige and Chris McGee, a blast was had by alllll…….
